If you’re shopping for a crossover SUV with all the functionality of a large vehicle without the bulk, then you probably have the 2018 Kia Sorento on your list. This sleek crossover is available in five- and seven-passenger configurations, front- and all-wheel drive and a wide variety of premium features. The real question is, “How will you build your 2018 Kia Sorento?”

Each of the five Sorento trims offers entertainment and convenience features that are sure to make every car ride more comfortable. But what if you’re looking for an even more luxurious cabin? Consider the EX or SX models. Both are standard with hands-free liftgate, keyless ignition and entry, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and much more. With that said, perhaps the most significant differences between the 2018 Kia Sorento EX vs. SX are the engine options and features available.

Both the EX and SX can be equipped with the same 3.3-liter V-6 engine and optional accessories packages. One major difference is the EX is available with an Advance Touring package with a panoramic sunroof, LED interior lighting and a 110-volt household style outlet. This package is standard on EX models with a V-6 engine and also includes features from the Advanced Technology package, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.

While both models are available with the V-6 engine, it’s the SX trim that receives upgraded steering, larger wheels, LED running lights, upgraded exterior trim, a larger touchscreen, navigation system and a panoramic sunroof. Like the EX, the SX model is standard with the Advanced Technology package and adds xenon headlights, ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel.
