2017 Kia Niro Technology and Safety Features
Kia’s all-new hybrid crossover, the Niro, is being released this year and as Kia’s first crossover hybrid we are pretty excited. The 2017 Kia Niro displays stylish design, a full lineup of the best safety and technology features all while targeting upwards of a 50 mpg rating. The Niro will feature some of the same technology and safety features found across the Kia lineup, but the hybrid crossover will also feature new equipment like Kia’s all-new Coasting Guide and Predictive Energy Control.
Kia’s all-new Eco-DAS (Driver Assistance System) features Kia’s first application of Coasting Guide and Predictive Energy Control. The Coasting Guide aims at maximizing fuel economy by essentially coaching the driver on when to coast and brake. Predictive Energy Control, uses the navigation system and cruise control to anticipate topographical changes on the road ahead and actively manage energy flow, seamlessly determining when it’s best to recharge the battery and when it’s best to expend stored energy to optimize overall efficiency.
2017 Kia Niro Convenience Features
Some more new features that will be available on the 2017 Niro include, breathe easy and a clearer view. Breathe easy is the Niro’s Clean Air system that helps remove air impurities and neutralizes odors, improving air quality throughout the entire vehicle. A clearer view, is Niro’s auto defog system that automatically senses the windshield’s humidity and temperature and uses the air system to prevent the glass from fogging up.
The 2017 Niro will also feature wireless charging where you can recharge your smartphone on the go by simply placing it in the center console pad. The Niro also offers customers more ways to power their electronics with available outlets found throughout the cabin. There are two center power outlets, one 110v inverter and a rear USB port.
The all-new 2017 Kia Niro should be arriving soon, but there is still no word yet on an official release date or pricing for the hybrid crossover. We will do our best to update you as soon as information becomes available for the new Kia hybrid.
