Changes and Updates

The 2018 Kia Forte is largely a carry-over model, which means it is largely unchanged from 2017. However, the 2018 Forte did receive multiple updates across the model lineup with each trim level adding a few standard features and package enhancements over last year’s model.  Check out a quick run-down of the model changes and updates below.

  • The base trim, LX, now comes standard with cruise control on the automatic transmission and the Popular Package, which includes UVO3, allowing passengers to use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and smartphone navigation. The LX Popular Plus Package includes the above equipment and adds a new alloy wheel design, LED taillights and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
  • The mid-line trim, S, adds a new 16″ alloy wheel design and a sunroof has been added to the Technology Package. The Premium Package for the S trim has been discontinued.
  • The top-of-the-line trim, EX, adds several Advanced Driver Assistance features, such as Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist, to inspire confidence and peace of mind behind the wheel.
