2018 Kia Rio Release Date, Configurations, and Price
Official pricing information for the all-new 2018 Kia Rio Sedan and Hatchback has been announced. With a release date set for sometime early this month, Kia has announced that the subcompact duo will be available in three configurations—LX, S, and EX. The new Rio has lower starting price than the outgoing model, yet still offers technology typically not found in the subcompact segment. The 2018 Rio configurations, price, and features are discussed below.
Configurations and MSRP
As mentioned, the all-new Rio has a lower starting price than the 2017 model while still featuring upgrades in standard and available technology. The starting MSRP for all three trim levels are as follows:
LX |Starting MSRP – Sedan: $13,900 / Hatchback: $14,200
S | Starting MSRP – Sedan: $16,100 / Hatchback: $16,400
EX |Starting MSRP – Sedan: $18,400 / Hatchback: $18,700
“Value has always been a core tenet for the Kia brand and the all-new Rio sedan and 5-door continue to underscore our commitment to buyers looking for an entry-level vehicle but desire more than what the subcompact segment offers,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA. “This fourth-generation Rio makes significant improvements over its predecessor in design, technology and passenger comfort, resulting in an even better value proposition, while raising the bar in the small-car segment.”
