What’s New for the 2018 Kia Soul?

When car shoppers approach the 2018 Kia Soul, one of the first things that they will notice is an affordable price tag that stands at just $16,100 – the same price as the previous edition. At the heart of the Kia Soul, you will enjoy a standard 130-horsepower 1.6-liter inline-4 engine that can be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission to make 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

An upgrade to the Kia Soul+ adds a 161-horsepower 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that will deliver 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Top-of-the-line Kia Soul! models feature a 201 horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Married to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the turbocharged Kia Soul will make an impressive 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

Technology gets an upgrade with the arrival of the 2018 Kia Soul. An updated Kia UVO3 interface will be a standard fixture for the Kia Soul+ trim level and will accompany a seven-inch touchscreen display and provide access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Drivers who opt for the entry-level Kia Soul Base trim can add these features with the available Base Convenience Package. Kia Soul+ grades will be eligible for the bulk of the changes with Smart Cruise Control and Autonomous Emergency Braking added to the Soul Plus Primo Package and improved lighting systems with the Soul Plus Primo “Lit” Package.
