Kia fans attending the 2019 Chicago Auto Show got a first look at the 2020 Kia Sportage SUV. While the model was only refreshed for the upcoming 2020 model year, SUV shoppers should expect to see a variety of appealing new features added to the lineup. While we don’t have specifics just yet, Kia has announced that the 2020 Kia Sportage will go on sale with limited availability beginning sometime in the first half of the 2019 calendar year. So, by summer SUV shoppers should start seeing a few models roll into their local Kia dealerships.

Along with LX, EX, and SX configurations, the 2020 Kia Sportage is gaining a brand-new S trim for the new model year. Like the other trims, the S trim will be available with front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and a duo of engine options.
On the outside, the 2020 Sportage will see a few adjustments to its lighting package, front grille, wheels, and bumpers. Inside, an available wireless smartphone charging tray, available leatherette upholstery, and standard 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will not be available.
A variety of available active safety equipment has also been sprinkled throughout the lineup including Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Assist with pedestrian detection, and high beam assist.
