Kia offers a number of SUVs that fit into anyone's lifestyles. Of Kia's three SUVs, each one offers its own set of unique qualities and if you are interested in a new Kia SUV but are unsure of what model is the best fit for you then we are here to help. We compare two of Kia's popular SUVs the Soul and Sportage to show how they differ and what value they give to customers in their own way. Check out our comparison of the 2017 Kia Soul vs 2017 Kia Sportage and find out for yourself what Kia SUV is the best one for you.
Both SUVs are offer customers five-passenger seating and have a cargo capacity that is about the same. The 2017 Sportage is larger than the Soul so it does offer more cargo space behind the second row which is great for larger families or customers who know they will be utilizing their cargo space quite often. 2017 Soul customers have the choice of three engine options. The base Soul receives a 1.6-liter Inline 4 and then there is a 2.0-liter Inline 4 and a 1.6-liter turbocharged Inline 4 available on the other trims. The 2017 Sportage offers just two engine options, a base 2.4-liter I-4 engine and a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine. The Sportage offers the most horsepower out of the two with 24- horsepower with its turbocharged engine.
The Soul and Sportage offer relatively similar fuel economy though the 2017 Kia Soul offers better city mpg which is great for those living in a city and do mainly city driving. Styling and standard features are different between the two Kia SUVs and really comes down to preference on what features you want or need most in your vehicle. The Sportage much like its name is a sporty crossover with sharp bold lines and the Kia Soul has always been known to have a funky and unique design.
