The 2019 Kia Soul has stirred up quite a bit of interest here in Fort Worth, TX. This isn’t just because of the convenience this 2019 Kia model offers, but because of the power and efficiency it provides, as well.
As you may expect, the 2019 Kia Soul has 3 different trim levels; Kia Soul Base, Kia Soul+, and Kia Soul!. Each have their advantages and disadvantages in terms of power, fuel economy, and technology features. Let’s take a look at what engines come standard on the trim levels for the 2019 Kia Soul.
You have a 1.6L DOHC 16-valve I-4 for the base trim, which gets 130 horsepower and 118 lb.-ft. of torque. This is paired with an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 26 miles per gallon in the city, and 31 on the highway.
The next trim, or the 2019 Kia Soul+, has a 2.0L DOHC 16-valve I-4 engine, which receives 161 hp and 150 lb.-ft. of torque. You can expect to have 25 mpg in the city, and 30 on the highway.
The highest trim for the 2019 Kia Soul is the Soul!, which has a powerful 1.6L DOHC 16-valve I-4 Turbocharged engine that gets 201 hp and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. Surprisingly, it has the same fuel efficiency as the base trim.
There are some pretty great technology features available in the 2019 Kia Soul, including a 7-inch Touch-Screen Display that is available in the Base trim and standard on the other 2. You can also expect to see available Android Autoâ„¢ and Apple CarPlayâ„¢ connectivity as well.
There are a variety of safety and driver-assist features available for some trims of the 2019 Soul as well. Features like the Forward Collision Warning System, Lane Departure Warning System, and Blind Spot Detection are available to add on to the Soul+ trim.
Standard safety features on all trims include things like the Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist Control, and the LATCH System, or Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children.
