2016 Kia Sorento Engine Options and Specs
The 2016 Sorento has three available engines, starting with the L and LX trims, a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 185 horsepower with standard four-wheel drive but offers optional all-wheel drive. Fuel economy is estimated at 24 mpg combined and this engine is capable of 2,000 towing capacity. EX and SX Limited get a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 240 horsepower with an estimated fuel economy of 23 mpg combined. Towing capacity for the turbocharged engine is 3,500 pounds. Finally, standard on the SX and available on the EX and SX Limited is a 3.3-liter V6 engine that produces 290 horsepower and gets 21 mpg combined and with front-wheel drive is able to tow 3,500 pounds but with all-wheel drive is able to tow 5,000 pounds.
